G Train Evacuated After Derailment In Downtown Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- G Train service was shut down in much of Brooklyn late Thursday night, after a train derailed in the area of the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station in downtown Brooklyn.
At 10:16 p.m., the first car of the southbound G Train derailed about 600 feet south of Hoyt-Schermerhorn station, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
The first to wheels on the car came off the track, the MTA said.
The MTA said the FDNY began evacuating about 150 people into the station.
Two people suffered minor injuries, an FDNY sources told CBS2's Jessica Schneider.
Witness Luke Wu captured video of the evacuation.
G Trains were suspended between the Bergen Street and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues stations in both directions as of early Friday morning.
