Forum On Long Island Will Help Answer Marriage Legal Questions For Same-Sex Couples
BAY SHORE, NY (WCBS 880) -- Same-sex couples can get their questions about gay marriage answered tonight on Long Island.
David Kilmnick of the Long Island GLBT Services Network says many gay couples don't know the steps to take to make their marriage legal.
"One of the questions I am hearing is what do I need to do to get my marriage license, what kind of documentation do I need and the law is very clear, but for same-sex couples they never had to think about this before," said Kilmnick.

He says he knows one couple that has waited a very long time to see marriage equality.
"One couple has been together for 52 years, two men in their 70s, and they did not think they would ever see this in their lifetime," said Kilmnick.
The forum will begin at 6:30pm at the GLBT services building in Bay Shore, Long Island. For more information, visit www.liglbtnetwork.org.
