Brookhaven highway worker Thomas Forkin is the suspected kingpin of this ring.
Former New York City police officer Thomas Gironda, of Setauket, allegedly stored the prescription narcotics, as well as cocaine, at his concrete business.
"[They sold the drugs] at bars, restaurants, nightclubs, parking lots of gas stations, parking lots of banks where the end-users, the people who are buying them, could access ATM machines," said District Attorney Thomas Spota.
Spota says as part of the continuing probe, some physicians are also being investigated as drug suppliers.
