Former Jets CB Darrelle Revis: Bucs Are 'More Of A Family'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Former Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis seems to be loving his new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, much more than Gang Green.
In fact, the All-Pro indirectly lashed out at his former team, claiming that he feels more comfortable in Tampa Bay without the major news stories and off-the-field attention.
"It's more of a family here," Revis told the NFL Network. "Everybody is real tight here. We all get along, everybody is fine. There's no nitpicking. No small stories leaking out to be bigger stories. Everybody is on the same page here and we want to win."
It was no secret that the Jets and Revis had a rocky relationship that did not end well. Owner Woody Johnson was forced to trade Revis after the two could not agree upon a long-term deal.
The 28-year-old was traded to the Bucs in April, where he ended up signing a six-year contract worth $96 million, making him the highest-paid defensive back in the NFL.
