9 NY Women Make Forbes' Inaugural Richest, Self-Made Women In U.S. List
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Move over, men.
Forbes magazine announced its inaugural list of America's 50 richest self-made women on Wednesday.

Topping the list -- and also the youngest of the bunch -- is Elizabeth Holmes, 31, a Stanford University dropout who founded blood testing company Theranos.
Holmes net worth is valued at $4.5 billion, according to Forbes.
Oprah Winfrey came in at Number 5 with a net worth of $3 billion.
Holmes and Winfrey are two of 20 women from California to make the list.
New York and New Jersey weren't too far behind with 11 women making the list, including fashion designer Tory Burch, Vera Wang, Beyonce Knowles, Madonna and Judge Judith Sheindlin.
Burch topped the New York list with a net worth of $1 billion.
Madonna was number 28 with a net worth of $520 million.
Judge Judy came in at number 49 with a net worth of $250 million. Forbes listed her home state as Florida, but we claimed the Brooklyn-born, former Manhattan Family Court judge as our own.
