Following His Dominant Performance, Antrel Rolle Has His Sights Set On The Redskins
NEW YORK (WFAN) - The Giants embarrassed the 49ers in their highly-anticipated matchup on Sunday, thanks in large part to a tremendous job by Big Blue's defense.
Two of those interceptions came courtesy of Antrel Rolle, who was brilliant in limiting the 49ers' passing attack.

Rolle -- whose interceptions both came in the third quarter -- picked off his first pass in front of ex-Giant and former teammate Mario Manningham.
"I think what made that interception happen was definitely Corey Webster," the Giants' safety told WFAN co-hosts Evan Roberts and Joe Benigno in his weekly spot on Tuesday. "I think he did a phenomenal job of staying patient and squaring up the receiver. And once the receiver broke on the slant route, he undercut the route so well that Alex Smith had to put air on the ball. I was fortunate enough to get a good break out of my Cover 3 zone and was able to hold onto the ball."
With the 49ers in the Giants' rearview mirror, the NFC East leaders are getting prepared for a critical division tilt against the Washington Redskins at MetLife Stadium. With New York sitting at 0-2 in the division, they need this one badly.
The defending Super Bowl champions fell to Washington in both their meetings last season -- first in the season opener and then again in Week 15.
So will those defeats have Rolle and his teammates extra motivated when they meet the feisty 'Skins on Sunday?
"It has to, I think it definitely has to, " Rolle said. "Last year they had our number, for whatever reason ... And they look like a much better team this year. So we're definitely going to put our foot to the metal and give it all that we've got this week."
In addition to his two interceptions, the seventh-year player has recorded 35 tackles in six games for the G-Men this season.
