Fmr. NYC Mayor Ed Koch Released From Manhattan Hospital
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) - Less than a week after being admitted, former New York City Mayor Ed Koch was released from New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Monday.
The 105th mayor was wheeled out wearing a blue windbreaker, a white shirt and looked jovial as he spoke briefly outside the hospital.

"Terrific. Who wouldn't feel terrific going home," he said.
He was admitted last week with pneumonia and the flu.
The 87-year-old Koch will turn 88 on Wednesday. He'll be at an annual reunion with members of his administration at Gracie Mansion to celebrate.
"The party was going to go on whether I was alive or dead," Koch joked.

He said the first thing he was going to do after the leaving the hospital is get a haircut and a shave.
"I'm going to the barber," Koch told reporters. "I've already called him. He's waiting for me, razor in hand."
The former mayor also said he planned to spend a few hours at the office on Monday.
Koch was hospitalized in September. He was treated for anemia and released after three days.
Koch served three terms from 1978 to 1989. The Democrat is famous for asking constituents, "How'm I doing?''
