First Lady Michelle Obama Wears Thom Browne Coat & Dress For Inauguration Ceremonies
WASHINGTON (CBSNewYork/AP) -- First Lady Michelle Obama donned a navy Thom Browne coat and dress for her husband's swearing-in and inaugural address Monday.
The fabric for the first lady's Inauguration Day attire was developed based on the style of a man's silk tie. The belt she wore is from J.Crew and her necklace was designed by Cathy Waterman. She also wore J.Crew shoes.

At the end of the Inaugural festivities, the outfit and accompanying accessories will go to the National Archives.
President Barack Obama wore a blue tie with his white shirt, dark suit and overcoat. Malia Obama had on a plum-colored J. Crew coat with the hemline of an electric-blue dress peeking out, and Sasha had on a Kate Spade coat and dress in a similar purple shade.
Mrs. Obama has worn Browne's designs for other occasions, including a gray dress with black lace overlay to one of the presidential debates last fall.
For the 2009 inauguration, Mrs. Obama's ensemble was designed by Isabel Toledo.
Many fashionistas are anxiously awaiting Monday night's inaugural ball to see what the first lady will wear to top the glamorous white gown she wore at the event four years ago.
