5 Firefighters Injured Battling Building Fire In Washington Heights
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Five firefighters are recovering from minor injuries after battling a fire in Washington Heights.
The blaze was mostly contained to the third floor of a building on West 160th Street.
It took just under an hour to get the flames under control Saturday afternoon.
Authorities tell CBS2 all of the residents escaped the building safely.
There is no word on the exact injuries to those firefighters and the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
