Fire Destroys Row Of Stores In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Officials are investigating the cause of an overnight fire that ripped through a row of stores in Brooklyn.
The three-alarm blaze broke out on 11th Avenue between 62nd and 63rd Streets in Dyker Heights late Monday night.
At least seven stores, including a liquor store, dry cleaner, Chinese restaurant, laundromat, grocery store and pharmacy, were destroyed in the fire, 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria reported.

Antar Assad, the franchise owner of a Metro PCS store that was destroyed in the blaze, estimates the damage to his business at about $150,000.
"It took us two years to establish this business," Assad said. "It's horrible."
Residents said the stores are vital to the neighborhood.
"You've got mom and pop shops that are gone and hopefully they come back so we can patronize them, they keep the neighborhood close," resident Gregory Bierce said.
No serious injuries were reported.
