Film "After The Fire" Looks At Aftermath of Deadly Seton Hall Dorm Fire
TEANECK, NJ (WCBS 880) - One of the films being featured at this year's Hoboken International Film Festival looks at a dark day in the history of New Jersey and its educational institutions.
The movie, called After the Fire, chronicles the recovery of two of the Seton Hall University dormitory fire burn victims - students Shawn Simons and Alvaro Llanos.
"A lot of people they feel bad already when their coffee is not right in the morning and think it's the end of the world, and you look at those two boys and it's amazing what they went through and they are daily inspiration for me," says director Guido Verweyen.
He says his film went from their heroic recovery to the actions of the two who set the fire.

"And it was just so outrageous in a way," he says. "It's as much about cowards as it is about heroes, like in this split-second decision."
The film will feature over 100 never-before-seen photos.
"It's just really about how to reach out and how to show support and love to each other," he says.
Three people died in the fire.
The film is playing Wednesday night at the Cedar Lane Cinemas in Teaneck.
