Feds Seize $400,000 In Counterfeit NFL Goods In New Jersey
NEWARK, NJ (CBSNewYork) - Homeland Security investigators have been busy the past couple weeks, rounding up counterfeit Giants and other NFL goods at local ports and postal facilities.

Counterfeit Giants and Eagles jerseys do have tell-tale signs.
"See this patch," said acting agent in charge of the Newark office Andrew McLees. "On a legitimate jersey, that would go all the way around."
Thiose are examples of fake NFL products seized after the Giants won the NFC championship.
"In less than two weeks, we've seized over $400,000 worth," he said Thursday. "The consumer thinks they're getting a good deal, paying less money for something that they would otherwise pay more for. In reality, there's a couple of problems here."
He says the product quality is often bad and these items, usually made overseas, cost American jobs.
So, with the Super Bowl this Sunday, be careful where you get your merchandise.
