FDNY Memo Says First Responders Could Receive COVID-19 Vaccines In December
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The FDNY confirmed to CBS2 it is planning to potentially have its first responders vaccinated for COVID-19 as early as next month.
In a department memo, officials said the vaccinations could start in mid to late December, pending approval from the Food and Drug Administration.
The memo said coronavirus vaccines would, "not be mandatory, but the Department recommends that members consider the overall benefits."
