FDNY Welcomes Over 100 New Members To Department
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The FDNY is welcoming more than 100 new members to the department.
A graduation ceremony was held in Brooklyn on Wednesday for 133 probationary firefighters.
This year's graduating class represents the increasing diversity of the department.
Forty-one percent of the graduates identify as people of color. Two women, as well as 36 veterans from all branches of the military, are also among the graduates.
