Change Your Clocks, Change Your Batteries
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Go ahead, sleep in – you've got plenty of time.
Sunday, Nov. 7 marks the end of Daylight Savings Time. At 2 a.m., Standard Time begins, and you get an extra hour added to your weekend.
The FDNY is urging New Yorkers to use the time change as a reminder to also change the batteries in household smoke alarms.
To help, members of the Department's Fire Safety Education Unit will be distributing batteries in various locations across the city on Sunday.
