FBI Working To Determine Source Of Bomb Threat At Kennedy Airport
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The FBI is working to determine the source of telephone threats that prompted the evacuation and search of two planes at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
The bomb threat was phoned in around 8:15 p.m. Monday.
Delta reported that another airline received the threat regarding Delta 468, a flight made up of two legs on different planes. One from San Francisco to the airport, which was the landing flight that prompted the emergency response, and another departing from Kennedy Airport to Tel Aviv.

After the threat, the flights were brought to remote areas of the runway where they were searched by police and canine units before it was determined that there were no explosives on board either flight, CBS2's Janelle Burrell reported.
"I was quite nervous, but I think everyone did a really good job at communicating, and you know, getting us our belongings and whatnot," said Delta passenger Melissa Fong.
After the planes were cleared the flight bound for Tel Aviv was able to depart safely.
Delta released a statement saying proper security procedures were followed.
The FBI is working to determine who made the call and where it originated from, Burrell reported.
