FBI: Doc, 8 Others, Charged In NYC Drug Ring
NEW YORK (AP) -- The FBI says nine people, including a doctor, are charged with running a Manhattan drug ring.
Authorities say the doctor wrote fraudulent prescriptions. They say other participants sold the drugs, such as the painkiller OxyContin, on the streets.
Investigators were at a Harlem medical clinic on Thursday. Eight of the defendants, including the doctor, were awaiting court appearances.
