Police: Persons Of Interest Sought In Fatal Shooting Of Bronx Teen
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for two persons of interest in connection with the fatal Christmas Eve shooting of a teenager in the Bronx.
The incident happened just before 11 p.m. Thursday in the area of 183rd Street and Jerome Avenue.
Police said two groups of males were in a verbal dispute when someone opened fire.
Both groups fled, but when officers arrived, they found 16-year-old Justin Morris with a multiple gunshot wounds to his back, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A 19-year-old man was also found with two gunshot wounds to his back and one gunshot wound to his buttocks, police said. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police said the two persons of interest were seen on surveillance video having a verbal dispute with the victim shortly before the shooting.
