Fast-Moving Fire Kills 1, Injures 4 In Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- One person is dead and four others were hurt in a fast-moving fire in Queens.
The fire broke out just after 1 a.m. at a home in Woodside. It then spread to a neighboring house.
One resident said the flames were so intense, he had to jump from a second floor window to escape.
Dozens of firefighters responded to the scene.
The identity of the 63-year-old victim who was killed has not been released. Four others were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
