Family, Friends Searching For Missing Dix Hills Man
DEER PARK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Relatives are looking for a Dix Hills man who they say hasn't been seen in two weeks.
Family and friends searched the woods Friday morning near the Deer Park train station where Robert Mayer's 2004 red Pontiac was found.
The 46-year-old was reported missing on June 14 after he left for his job in Brooklyn and never returned home, according to relatives.

On the morning he disappeared, his wife Ida says she spoke with her husband while he was at work, but that his phone eventually died around 2:45 p.m. His family says he left his wallet behind that day because he was running late for work.
Ida said her husband was a homebody and would never miss one of his children's sporting or school events.
"Someone knows something, someone saw something," she told WCBS 880's Sophia Hall. "Someone saw his car, someone saw him."
Robert Mayer is described as being 6-foot-1, about 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He would have likely been wearing a blue or gray collared polo shirt with a J.C. Electrical logo, jeans and work boots, his family says.
Police have said no criminality is suspected, but detectives are investigating.
