1010 WINS' Terry Sheridan Reports From Queens Village

Podcast

Evelyn Sanz says she could have been killed when a tree came crashing through the roof of her home on Hollis Court Boulevard in Queens Village.

"A big branch, big limb came down and pierced the roof and ended 10 inches away from by bed," Sanz told 1010 WINS' Terry Sheridan.

Sanz said that she initially thought the loud noise was lightning, but awoke to find the tree through her roof.

The crown of the tree smashed her porch, completely littering it with tree limbs.

To make matters worse, her car was also completely destroyed by the falling tree.

"I'm thankful to God I'm alive," she said. "That's a miracle."
