FAA: Green Laser Pointed At ExpressJet Flight Coming In To LaGuardia Airport
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating another incident of a laser being pointed at an airplane as it approached LaGuardia Airport.
The crew of an ExpressJet flight from Charlotte, North Carolina reported seeing a green laser around 7:45 p.m. Monday about 12 miles northeast of the Queens airport.
"We got somebody with a green laser down here trying to light us up," a crew member can be heard saying to a control tower in a recording of the incident.
The plane landed safely and no one was injured.
The FAA is investigating.
