Ex-Officer's Nephew 2nd Body In Newburgh Home

NEWBURGH, N.Y. (AP) -- Authorities say a man found shot to death in a Newburgh home with a former police officer was the officer's nephew.

The Times Herald-Record, of Middletown, reported Sunday that the man was identified as Gerald Piscopo.

He was discovered Thursday night inside the vacant house on Liberty Street along with the body of Francis Piscopo, a former sergeant with the Lloyd police department.

Francis Piscopo left the force in 1990, and has since has faced charges of dealing marijuana, intimidating a witnesses and stealing baseball gloves and a chain saw from his old department.

Police haven't identified any suspects in the killings.
