3 Shot In Parking Lot Of Jamaica, Queens Wendy's Restaurant
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Three people were shot Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of a Wendy's restaurant in Jamaica, Queens.
A 17-year-old was taken to Jamaica Hospital. The two others wounded included a 23-year-old, who was shot in chest and arm and a 20-year-old shot in leg, CBS 2 reported. They were taken to New York Hospital.
The incident took place around 3 p.m. at the intersection of 139th Street and 89th Avenue, which is in the vicinity of a elementary and middle school.
The 17-year-old victim was listed in stable condition. Though the injuries are considered serious, none is believed to be life-threatening.
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said the shooting is believed to be gang related.
