Eli On WFAN: Giants' Offense Is 'Starting To Get Into That Rhythm'
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Following two ugly games to start the season and a less-than-inspiring win over the Texans, the Giants finally looked like a team to take seriously on Thursday night.
In a critical divisional matchup against the rival Redskins at FedExField, Big Blue dominated in every facet of the game.
The defense tortured Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins all night -- he threw four interceptions and was sacked twice -- and, more importantly, the offense finally clicked on all cylinders.

"We've gotten better each and every week, and that's the goal," Giants quarterback Eli Manning told WFAN host Mike Francesa on Friday. "We didn't start off exactly how we wanted to, we had some growing pains ... just getting used to the flow and the rhythm of this offense, some new people and new things. But we're starting to get into that rhythm and starting to make some plays."
After a second consecutive shaky start to a season, Manning looked like a two-time Super Bowl MVP on Thursday night. Seemingly doing whatever he wanted, the 33-year-old was a model of efficiency. He completed 28 of 39 passes (72 percent) for 300 yards and four touchdowns (three to tight end Larry Donnell). He also had a rushing score and protected the ball well, throwing one interception.
Maybe Ben McAdoo's offense just needed some time.
"I think the tight ends have all done a great job," Manning said. "Larry started off in Week 1 and had a big game for us, and it's continued. He's gonna get better and better each week. He works hard. I was excited about him coming into the season because over the past couple of years I've seen him grow as a player ... He's really come into his own and he's really got a good feel of this offense."
Big Blue is riding high and will have a long week to prepare for the Falcons, but now the schedule gets tough. After hosting Atlanta in Week 5, the Giants will play the Eagles, Cowboys (twice), Colts, Seahawks and 49ers before playing the lowly Jaguars on November 30.
