Manning needed 12 stitches to close a gash on the left side of his forehead on Monday night in a preseason game against the Jets. The 29-year-old also lobbed a couple of passes before stretching with teammates.

It's not clear whether Manning will play in the Giants' preseason game against Pittsburgh at the New Meadowlands Stadium on Saturday night. The seven-year veteran has said that he is all right, but the Giants have not said whether doctors cleared him to play after taking a battery of tests to rule out a concussion.

The laceration required 12 stitches. Eli showed no signs of a concussion. He was x-rayed at the stadium. The x-rays were negative. Eli was sent home by the team's medical staff.
