Eli On WFAN: I'm Not Concerned About My Contract, And I Want To Retire A Giant

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Eli Manning and his father, the great Archie, were guests of WFAN co-hosts Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton on Friday morning.

Naturally, one of the first subjects to come up was Eli's contract. The Giants' quarterback is entering the final year of his contract, but he insists that he's not worried about the situation.

As expected, his focus is solely on football.

"I guess I just feel blessed that I've got a job," Eli told Boomer & Carton. "I'm playing football. I've never gotten concerned or worried about contract stuff. I let my agent handle that, let the Giants handle that. My focus is totally on going out there and getting back to winning games, and making the playoffs and playing good football.

"If I focus on that, concentrate on that, everything else will work itself out."

KEIDEL: ELI MANNING DESERVES THAT BIG, FAT EXTENSION — NOW!

The two-time Super Bowl MVP, who has played his entire career in East Rutherford, would love to retire a Giant.

"Of course. of course," Eli told the radio duo. "I started here. When you get drafted and you come to an organization, you want to finish there. I'm going into my 12th year. I don't want to change teams, I don't want to change organizations, I don't want to change cities. I'm happy where I am. I want to stay here. And hopefully it works out that way."

ELI MANNING: I'M COMFORTABLE PLAYING IN THE FINAL YEAR OF MY CONTRACT

The 34-year-old was brilliant for New York in 2014. He completed 63 percent of his passes, threw for 4,410 yards and tossed 30 touchdowns to 14 interceptions.

Eli and the guys also discussed -- among other things -- Odell Beckham's injury, the upcoming season, Alex Rodriguez's pursuit of 3,000 hits and Father's Day.
