East Ramapo Parents To Rally For School Board Lawyer's Firing
RAMAPO, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - In one Rockland County town, there is a growing chorus of parents calling for the ouster of their school board's lawyer.
A rally will be held Monday evening ahead of a special school board meeting where parents will call for East Ramapo Central School District lawyer Chris Kirby to be fired.
In a YouTube video posted last week, Kirby is apparently seen unleashing an obscenity-laced barrage at parents in the parking lot following a school board meeting.

Among his many profane words heard in the video, parent Peggy Hatton said Kirby called her a vulgar name for a woman.
"He just kept swearing and cursing at me and he was laughing while he was doing a lot of it," Hatton told WCBS 880's Sean Adams.
Hatton said she doesn't just want Kirby fired, she also wants him disbarred.
"He can call me fat, but he's really dumb. Because to continue to go on with his tirade in front of the cameras rolling. He can call me whatever name he wants, but you know, right back at you, bud," Hatton said.

Kirby also allegedly tried to pick a fight with the parent recording the tirade.
"I'm standing in your way. You going to do something about it?" Kirby said in the video.
There have been close to 24,000 views of the video on YouTube.
Police took statements at the scene.
Sen. David Carlucci has also called for Kirby's termination.
"These actions were reprehensible and uncalled for in their entirety and demonstrate a lack of professional conduct that should never be tolerated," Carlucci said in a statement last week. "I believe this warrants swift and appropriate action to ensure that this type of incident never happens again."
So far, the district and its law firm, Minerva & D'Agostino, have yet to comment.
Monday's rally will be held at the central administration building at 105 South Madison Avenue in Spring Valley ahead of a 7 p.m. board meeting.
