12 Hurt, 3 Critically, After Flames Break Out Inside East Harlem High Rise
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A dozen people were hurt, including three critically, after flames ripped through a high rise in East Harlem early Sunday.
The FDNY said it was called to the 35-story building on 5th Avenue near 110th Street after the fire broke out on the 29th floor just after 6:30 a.m.
Three people, including two children, were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, according to officials.
Another nine people suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
