15 Displaced By Early Morning Blaze In Paterson
PATERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Fifteen people are homeless after an early morning blaze destroyed two homes in Paterson.
The three-alarm fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Governor Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard.
Investigators believe the fire started in an abandoned home and quickly spread, but authorities said firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to a third home.
It took crews nearly three hours to bring the fire under control. Two families escaped without injury.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
