Man Charged With Drunken Driving After NJ TRANSIT Train Hits Pickup Truck
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A New Jersey man has been charged with drunken driving after his pickup truck was hit by an NJ TRANSIT train.
NJ TRANSIT spokeswoman Nancy Snyder told The Record that none of the train's crew or passengers were hurt in the incident that happened about 1 a.m. Sunday when an eastbound train headed to Hoboken hit a 2001 Toyota Tundra in Hasbrouck Heights.
Fifty-year-old Ediberto Rodriguez, of Clifton, was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center and faces driving while intoxicated and interfering with transportation charges. His condition is unknown.
