Drug Suspect Leads Authorities On Wild Chase Off Rt. 4 In Bergen County
RIVER EDGE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- U.S. Marshals working with the DEA apprehended an allegedly armed and dangerous drug suspect following a chase in Bergen County on Wednesday.
"There were police everywhere," River Edge Schools Superintendent, Dr. Tova Ben-Dov told 1010 WINS' Rebecca Granet.
Authorities were chasing Kevin Frye, who a spokesman for the U.S. Marshal service said, was on the loose in an indictment case for conspiracy to distribute narcotics.

Marshals said the chase started when Frye jumped into a car in Hackensack. Authorities tried to box him in, and he crashed into a retaining wall.
Frye then ran into a wooded area off of Davis Road and Rt. 4 in River Edge where he was tracked down and bit on the ankle by a police dog.
The chase led to a soft lockdown of the Cherry Hill school complex.
"There were cars and there were lights, and there were sirens going off," Dr. Ben-Dov said.
Frye was given medical attention and taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.
