Drivers Ignoring Emergency Blue Lights In North Jersey

So, in New Jersey, volunteer first responders - EMTs and firefighters, have flashing blue lights in their personal cars.
Police in Wyckoff say some motorists are ignoring the lights and failing to yield.
Wyckoff Ambulance Corps. Lt. Charles Bellucci says personally, he has not had a problem.
"But it does happen occasionally, and I want people to understand the reason why we use the blue light is because we are responding to an emergency call," he told WCBS 880 reporter Sean Adams.
Every second counts and volunteers serve their communities without pay. They do so on their own time. They could be at home or at work. They drop everything to race off and help others.
Police say it is a common courtesy and the law to pull over for flashing blue lights. Failure to yield could lead to a fine or points on your license.
