Drivers Find Their Tires Slashed In Morrisania
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- For a fifth straight day, some motorists in the Bronx woke up to find their tires had been slashed.
Ten drivers in the Morrisania section of the borough were stranded Wednesday after finding all four tires on their vehicles flat.

"My windows have been broken before, but not my tires. This is bad. It makes us get to work late," said Yaritza Rosario, who found her Ford Equinox vandalized.
Tire slashers have been targeting dozens of cars over the past five days near Trinity and Westchester avenues in Mott Haven and on other streets in Morrisania.
The vandalism is leaving many drivers frustrated. It's also costing them big bucks.
"One tire costs $300 each," Jose Ogeda said. "So we've lost already $1,200."
"I'm infuriated. I'm infuriated...$638 it cost me to replace my tires," Caryn Smalls said.
Police said they don't know the exact number of victims but Smalls does.
"From Saturday to today, the tow truck driver informed me that he had towed away more than a hundred cars with slashed tires," she said.
Anthony Ferrera came to a Community Board meeting Wednesday night after he too was a victim.
"It hurts. Don't really have the money to spare for tires that often, you know?" Ferrera told CBS 2's Sean Hennessey.
No arrests have been made, but police said they will be increasing patrols in the area with both uniformed and plain-clothes officers.
"Moving our crimes teams a little bit later, moving our condition teams a little bit later to have more of a presence out there in the street," explained NYPD Capt. Phillip Rivera.
As a neighborhood watch sign was being put up, Smalls took her car to a garage with the same question every other victim has: "My question is why? What is it about us?"
