Driver Slams Into Back Of Bus In Brooklyn, Dies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 23-year-old Brooklyn man was killed Monday, after his car slammed into the back of a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus in Cypress Hills.

Luis Duran was driving his 2003 Honda Accord through the intersection of Jamaica and Euclid avenues in Brooklyn, at 4:45 a.m. when he struck the bus, police said.

The bus was heading east on Jamaica Avenue at the time and was stopped at a red light on the intersection, police said.

Duran was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

There were no reports of anyone on the bus being injured.
