Driver Killed In Crash Into House In North Amityville
NORTH AMITYVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A 20-year-old Long Island man is dead, and his passenger was injured, after the car he was driving slammed into a house.
Roger Castro, 20, was headed down Great Neck Road in North Amityville around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, when he lost control of his car and spun off the road, police said.
The vehicle first hit a vacant house and then crashed into a home that was occupied.
Castro, of North Amityville, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. His passenger, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
A resident in the home was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
