Downed Wires Strand NJ Transit Commuters
WOODBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, NJ (AP) - About 100 passengers stranded on a commuter train in New Jersey have been transferred to another train.
They spent more than two hours after New Jersey Transit Train 3703 became entangled in damaged overhead wires on its trip from New York City to Trenton around 7 a.m. Friday.
The transfer was finished by 9:13 a.m.

Service along the Northeast Corridor out of New York City was suspended for about 90 minutes until the wires were removed from the tracks.
Amtrak spokesman Marc Magliari says its trains are back on schedule after facing delays of up to an hour.
NJ Transit spokeswoman Courtney Carroll Northeast Corridor trains are running up to 60 minutes behind schedule in both directions.
The trains are bypassing Metropark. A shuttle bus is operating between Metropark and Rahway.
NJ Transit spokesman Dan Stessel says the railroad is expecting a normal commute for the ride home.
