Downed Wire That Delayed N.J. Transit & Amtrak Trains Repaired
TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Workers have repaired a downed wire that slowed Amtrak and commuter trains along the Northeast Corridor between Trenton and New York City.
The wire came down at Trenton Station at 5:20 a.m. Monday, taking out two tracks into New York. It was repaired by 9:15 a.m.
Amtrak trains were running up to 30 minutes late during the worst of the delays.
NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor trains out of Trenton were running up to an hour behind schedule during much of the morning commute.
