Downed Power Lines Halt Part Of NJ TRANSIT Montclair-Boonton Line
NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Service will be back to normal for the Wednesday morning rush, after it was partially shut down on the NJ TRANSIT Montclair-Boonton Line due to downed power lines.
As CBS 2's Joe Biermann reported, service was suspended in both directions between Newark Broad Street and Bay Street late Tuesday afternoon.
It all got started when crews were trimming trees along the line, Biermann reported.
A large tree fell and took down a nearby power pole and its wires, Biermann reported.
Service was restored Tuesday night.
