Double Hit-And-Run Victim Remains Critical
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CBS 2) -- A White Plains man was in critical condition Tuesday as police were trying to solve what they said was a double hit-and-run.
Authorities were looking for a A late model Mercedes that hit 23-year-old Raul Rios early Sunday on East Post Road.
As two Good Samaritans rushed to his aid, police said, a second car sped by and struck them. They were not seriously hurt.
Within minutes, police tracked down the second driver, 22-year-old David Bautista. He's charged with DWI.
As for the driver that hit Rios, White Plains Public Safety Commissioner David Chong had this message: "We know its a black Mercedes, a late model black Mercedes and we ask that person to come forward because eventually were gonna find out who you are."
White Plains police were urging anyone who saw what happened to give them a call.
