THE DEFENSE
Q: What's your name? Where are we today?
Steve: My name is Steve and I'm here with my father on 8th Avenue and 34th Street right by Madison Square Garden. We just got back from B&H where we just bought some items for our church, including this projector screen in this giant box here. Now we have to figure out how to fit it in our car. We bought a few other things for our production that we do at our church.
Q: Very high tech. Now the trick is, how do you get it in the car.
S: Yeah, I have no idea.
Q: If I can help out, let me know. Where do you live? What's the zip code?
S: We live in Harlem, 10026.
Q: What's the main use for this car? Is it business or pleasure?
S: Both. We use the car for our church a lot. Hauling things from here to there, there to here. It's got to fit somethow.
Q: What year is the car?
S: What year's the car dad?
Dad: A '97. It's a BMW 528i.
Q: How many miles does it have on it?
S: About 110,000 miles.
Q: Do you remember the name of the dealership where you bought the car?
S: I bought it at a BMW dealership in Long Island.
Q: What's your favorite thing about this car?
D: It's very comfortable. Very smooth ride. <Looking at his son still trying to figure out how to fit box in car.> This is New York City right? We'll figure it out. New Yorkers always figure it out, right?
Q: Do you have any rules for people who get in your car?
S: No rules. Enjoy the ride!
Q: What's the furthest that you've driven in this car?
S: Canada. We went to Montreal. Beautiful city. It was cold!
Q: Do you listen to music in the car?
S: Yeah, all the time.
Q: What do you like to listen to?
S: Mostly hip-hop and R&B. Sometimes gospel, stuff like that.
Q: Do you have a nickname for the car?
D: Well, it's blue, so how about Blue Me Away.
Q: Touche! Is it going to fit?
S: We're trying. Almost there.
Q: Wow! You fit the box in. Congratulations and good luck with your production at your church. One more picture of the two of you, father and son. Dad looks so young. It's hard to tell the difference.
S: Just to be clear, I'm the son. He's the dad.
