De Blasio Campaigns For Attorney General Eric Schneiderman At Brooklyn Church
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Mayor Bill de Blasio stopped by the Bridge Street AME Church in Brooklyn Sunday to sing the praises of state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.
"Every single time, he will do what's right for the rest of the people," the mayor said, WCBS 880's Jim Smith reported. "He will listen to communities. He will act. Doesn't live in fear. Believes his job is to act on behalf of the people regardless of the political consequences."
Schneiderman, a Democrat, is seeking re-election next month. He faces a challenge from Republican John Cahill.

The incumbent touted to the congregation his record on cracking down on big business following the recession.
"I didn't go after them because they were big and rich," the attorney general said. "I went after them because they did something wrong, and I didn't care if they were big and rich."
