Darrelle Revis Reportedly Unhappy With Bucs Coach Schiano
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York Jets fans -- and sports radio listeners -- know Darrelle Revis can sometimes get ornery.
So maybe it shouldn't come as a surprise that the cornerback is reportedly unhappy -- already -- with his situation in Tampa Bay.
"Darrelle Revis, the crown jewel of their offseason, he's not happy," NFL insider Mike Garafolo reported on "Fox Sports Live." "Sources have told me (head coach Greg) Schiano's rules, a little too strict for him after coming from Rex Ryan."
He also reportedly doesn't like Schiano's zone defense and would prefer to play Revis Island -- er, man-to-man coverage.
Revis was traded from the Jets during the offseason, signing a new long-term deal with the Buccaneers in the process. The All-Pro sounded off during the contract drama, repeatedly airing his frustrations with Gang Green before finally being dealt to Tampa Bay.
"I was speechless; I tweeted it out I was speechless," Revis said of the rumors in February. "I was speechless because I didn't get a phone call. I know it's a business — just call me; don't have it lingering out there. I need answers and I'm not getting any. Just the fact that was put out there instead of contacting your best player on the team. If that's how you want to do business, then that's fine."
Revis and the Buccaneers (0-2) lost to the Jets and New Orleans Saints in their first two games.
