Curtis Sliwa's Ex-Wife: Voice Mails Prove Affair With Queens Borough President

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Court documents released Wednesday alleged that Curtis Sliwa was anything but an "angel" just before his 2000 wedding.

According to court documents filed by his ex-wife, Mary Sliwa, the Guardian Angels founder was wrapped up in a romantic tryst with current Queens Borough President Melinda Katz just as he was preparing to say "I do," CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez reported.

"You should remember that when you married Mary, you were with me the night before you left for the wedding," Katz, Curtis' now live-in girlfriend, said in a voicemail to Sliwa, according to the transcripts.

Mary Sliwa released transcripts of the voicemails chronicling the alleged affair for an ongoing child-support dispute. Curtis Sliwa, who says his annual salary has been reduced from $700,000 to $200,000, has been seeking to have his $13,000-a-month child-support payment for his son with Mary reduced to $2,500.

While Curtis Sliwa and Katz claim there was no romantic involvement until Curtis Sliwa left his wife in 2011, Mary Sliwa said, "Melinda Katz is a money-loving home wrecker who relentlessly plotted for years to destroy my marriage, my family and me."

Curtis Sliwa, according to Mary Sliwa, is "street dumb" for forgetting he allowed her access to his voicemails and email, where Mary Katz "graphically and nauseatingly spoke about her intimacy with my husband during our marriage."

While Sliwa was still married, Katz became pregnant with two of his children -- they say through in vitro fertilization.

"No sane person would believe that Katz used ancient sperm when she was frequently and repeatedly receiving my husband's fresh sperm during sexual intercourse," Mary Sliwa said.

Mary Sliwa says she saved voicemails documenting 13 sexual encounters in 2010 between Curtis Sliwa and Katz. In one from January, Katz allegedly said: "I allow you over on Thursday. We make love." Then in July, Katz, according to the transcript, said, "Last night was about the fact that you are capable of making love to me twice."

And in April 2010, Katz allegedly said in a message: "Thirteen years, I've wanted you. Eleven years, I've waited for you."

Curtis Sliwa and Katz would not comment Wednesday.
