Crews Search For Man In Water Off Perth Amboy, N.J.
PERTH AMBOY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A search for a missing 27-year-old man in Raritan Bay was under way on Wednesday night.
Police were called to the scene at around 7:30 p.m. after the man went into the water to rescue two children, officials said.
The 7-year-old girl and 11-year-old boy were pulled to safety, and were being treated at an area hospital. They were expected to fully recover, officials said.
Swimming is not allowed in the area because of the currents. It was not clear Wednesday night how the children got into the water.
