Cresskill, N.J. Considers Banning Future Drive-Thrus
CRESSKILL, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- One New Jersey town is considering a ban on drive-thru establishments.
In Cresskill, you can find a drive-thru at the pharmacy, bank and even the doughnut shop.
While some residents find them convenient, others find them maddening.
"This is the best thing," resident Jamie Bozzo told CBS 2's Dick Brennan on Tuesday. "It's convenient. I have two kids in the back."
"It's one of those things that people really need, we need to keep going, keep moving," resident Gus Patty said.

Frustrated residents claim the drive-thru lines are creating back-ups in the streets and spilling over into parking lots.
"I think it's ridiculous. I actually don't even want to wait in this line, but I'm stuck in this line trying to get a parking spot," resident Samantha Phillips said.
"We might wait 10 minutes to get into our parking lots," resident Gail Rothbard said.
Cresskill officials are now exploring the idea of banning future drive-thrus. No current businesses would be affected by the ban.
City officials said nothing has been formally proposed and the issue is only in the discussion phase, CBS 2's Brennan reported.
Any proposal would have to go before the City council for review.
