Federal Appeals Court Temporarily Halts Vaccine Mandate For Health Care Staff With Religious Exemptions
ALBANY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A federal appeals court has ruled in favor of New York State health care workers say they have religious objections to getting the COVID vaccine.
Thursday night's ruling temporarily blocks the state's enforcement of the mandate issued by Gov. Kathy Hochul.
A panel of judges will take up the case on October 14.
Two nurses from Long Island joined another from Syracuse in challenging the state's requirement.
