Suffolk Police: Suspect Arrested For Islandia Bank Robbery
ISLANDIA, NY (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Suffolk County say a man has been arrested for robbing a bank in Islandia.
It happened Friday just before 3:30 p.m. at the Empire National Bank on Veterans Memorial Highway. Police say a man walked in and handed a teller a note demanding money, threatening that he had a gun.
Police say the teller handed over some cash and the suspect took off in a light-colored sedan.
Friday night, police arrested Rameek Brown on robbery charges. He was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday.
