Cops Seek Pair In Connection With Alleged Midwood Cab Hold Up
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for assistance in identifying and locating two men wanted in connection with a robbery that took place in the Midwood section of Brooklyn on Saturday morning.
Around 2 a.m. a livery cab was called to 1308 East 5th Street. Upon arrival a man the cab, placed a sharp object to the driver's neck, and demanded money, according to authorities.
A second man approached the driver's side of the vehicle, pushed the driver's head into the steering wheel, and relieved the driver of $200, a cell phone, and assorted documents, police said.
Both suspects fled westbound on Ave L towards East 4th Street.
The driver did not sustain any injuries during the robbery.
The first suspect has been described as a black male in his twenties, he was 6-ft tall and weighed 180-lbs, he was wearing a blue hat at the time of the alleged robbery.
The second suspect was described as a black male in his forties, he was 6-ft tall and weighed 240-lbs.
