Cops: Robbery Suspects Struck Pair Of Brooklyn Livery Cabs
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in identifying two men wanted in connection with a pair of gunpoint livery cab hold-ups that took place in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn.
Shortly after 11:oo a.m. on Saturday, two men entered a livery cab at Wyckoff Avenue and Covert Street. At some point during their ride one of the men brandished a firearm and demanded money from the driver. The driver fled the vehicle and the suspects made off with $70.
Minutes later, one of the suspects was picked up by a second livery cab on Weirfield Street between Irving Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue. Once again, the suspect brandished a weapon and demanded money. The driver complied and gave the suspect $250. The suspect fled on foot.
No injuries were reported in either incident.
The suspects have been described as black males. One was wearing a dark top and a cap and the second was wearing a dark-colored hoodie.
